Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and dog friendly (in the bar area and on the patio). Charmingly decorated inside, with lovely gardens and outdoor patio seating. Fresh, tasty food paired with an well-stocked bar make this a delightful place for a meal. When we were told that dogs are allowed in the bar area, I thought it might not be ideal but the bar area is very nice and the tables are set far enough apart that we didn't feel crowded. Another nice touch: no loud music so we could talk and hear each other. Nice!

Visited a few weeks ago, sat outside due to the warm weather however we went in the evening and the temperature quickly dropped. We had nibbles such as sandwiches and chips which were lovely. Everyone in the group enjoyed their food. Waiting on staff were lovely and had a laugh with us. We took our dog and they were made to feel at home with a very warm welcome. The only things that impacted our visit was rude bar staff when taking our food order at the bar, and the lack of blankets when the temperature dropped. They seemed to go very quickly so maybe some more for customers. Thanks Glasfryn

The Fat Boar

Boars Head Inn, 17 Chester St, Mold CH7 1EG, UK – 01352 759890

First visit here and we both had the roast beef. Forgot to ask for well done so the meat was very rare, difficult to cut and quite fatty. Luckily the vegetables and Yorkshire pudding were excellent. The table had not been cleaned and was quite STICKY. Staff were nice and friendly and welcoming.

What a super spot. Food was delicious, and staff could not have been more helpful. When my 4 year old complained that her kids pasta was spicy, the staff treated her like any adult customer. They took her plate back, and cooked her pasta to a whole new recipe which she loved. Having eaten in restaurants all around the world with our kids, including Michelin starred, this is the first time my 4 year old has been treated as a human in her own right. Very highly recommended! Well done team.

set in picturesque woodland surroundings the hotel has several bars and function hall for weddings with gardens for outside photographs. staff are very friendly and helpful. food served in restaurant and function room is excellent.

Good value for money with good food in a very nice setting. Walk to the bottom of the drive to help dinner go down and enjoy super views. One of my favourite places to eat.
